This is me! Want to know more about the behind the scenes? Want to see firsthand some amazing venues? I am going to write all about it in my blog and can't wait to hear your questions or comments.
Having a big family is a blessing and there are many benefits from it. You might have a doctor, teacher, lawyer, mechanic or a wedding planner as a family relative. I have been in the wedding planning business for over 12 years and I have to say that I have planned over 10 family weddings and still counting.
What does a wedding planner go through when they get invited to a wedding? Some might feel it’s fun but for me I dread being in a wedding if I am not helping out in some way. Planning family weddings is a great feeling and it’s also a way for me to show my family that planning a wedding is a serious deal. A stereotype that wedding planners get labeled with often is that we are always at a party and that our jobs are so fun. That might not be the case at times and we are not just “partying” we are carrying the stress that our clients do not want to carry. We are the project managers of our client’s wedding and the ring leader the day of the wedding.
I am honored to be the first call once one of my family members get engaged and I really love what I do and get a kick out of blessing my family with the talents and gifts that God has given me.
Leave a comment and let me know if you are a wedding planner and if you feel the same way about planning your family’s weddings.
